Everybody that plays fantasy football takes it seriously whether it be for bragging rights, money or both. We gave out a few sleepers earlier in the season I hope they worked out for you but that’s beside the point most of us that play fantasy sports have more than one team which leaves us in a dilemma.
Honestly when you take extra time out to research teams scheme’s, rotation’s or whatever else you look up do you ever think a player you draft in one league come back to bite you in the ass in another league? In your strive to get bragging rights and cash you always come up with set scenarios that you think are foolproof and in one of your drafts somebody messes up your strategy by taking a player you want off the board earlier than you expect, in turn messing up your whole game plan.
If you’re a beast in your own mind you adapt right? Yeah you should but that’s when it happens in one league you have a player that you don’t have in the other in what happens? That player helps you win in one league and kicks your ass in the other. This just happened to me last week that player being Drew Brees one of my favorite fantasy players of all time. As Brees shredded the Vikings defense to swiss cheese for the tune of 400 plus yards and 5 td, I was cheering and cringing at the same time, it was like somebody was smacking me in the face in then it would heal like I was wolverine during every completion and td.
I know it doesn’t always workout that you play the person you have in the other league every time but when it does its the epitome of a catch 22. It makes you say next year I’m going to play in one league so this shit doesn’t happen to me again or I’ll just make sure I draft the same team in both leagues(or 3-4 leagues or more what ever makes you happy). We all know that doesn’t happen for various reasons whether it be different scoring systems, draft order, or mistakes by yourself or other drafters nothing is a given. But what is a given when that player you have kicks your ass and helps you win all at the same time it’s a hell of a dilemma.
