1) The Big East isn’t a strong conference
2) They have a solid collection of talent
3) Somebody has to represent the Big East in a BCS Bowl why not it be the Bearcats
Just to name a few.
With 7 games in the books the Bearcats are 5-2 and 1-1 inside the Big East. On Friday night they had a chance to take out the undefeated Louisville Cardinals on the road. The Bearcats let a great chance slip out of their hands as they lost 34-31 in overtime.
With a chance to control their own destiny gone with the win the Bearcats need a little help now and must take of business on their end until the end of the season. With 5 games left the Cats must win all of them and they need Louisville to lose to Rutgers (the other team who hasn’t lost in conference play). The Cardinals have 4 games left if they could lose 2 games that would be great for the Cats especially if they win out because both teams have a date with Rutgers lined up within the next month.
The Bearcats have the talent to pull off the feat but they now need a lot of help if they want to go BCS bowling this year. The best thing they have going for them is they play in the Big East but it’s still starting to look a little bleak in Cincy.
