#25 Wisconsin Badgers

Recap

Wisconsin finished 26-10(12-6) and lost in the East Regional Semis to Syracuse.

Key Losses

The Badgers suffers a major blow with the lost of Jordan Taylor who was the Badgers do all point guard. Taylor was one of the best guards in the country and it will be hard to replace him.

Key Returners

Ryan Evans-11pts 6.8reb 1.6ast
Jared Berggren-10.5pts 4.9reb 0.8ast
Josh Gasser-7.6pts 4.2reb 1.9ast

NEWCOMERS

Sam Dekker SF 6’7″ 195lbs.
A versatile wing with the ability to score inside and out. Very athletic and can handle the ball as well as pass. Reminds me of Mike Dunleavy.

OVERALL

You can expect Wisconsin to slow the tempo, play good D and execute in the half court. Bo Ryan is one of the best coaches in college basketball and always gets the best of the talent he has. This season should be no different as the Badgers will attack inside with Berggren and look to Evans to step up and be more of a leader. Gasser has the toughest job in replacing Taylor but he is just as physical and should make a smooth transition running the show. The Freshman Dekker could be the x-factor with his natural ability to score the ball if the moment isn’t to big for him. The Badgers will be a tournament team that competes for a Big 10 championship.
