Front Office weekly rundown 8/17/12

We are back for another week of the rundown sorry about the lack of one last week, I was under the weather and lost site of the days. This has been a light week compared to last week, Dwight was finally traded and a lot of medals were won by the women of the U.S. Check out a few things that caught our eye this week.

NFL

TE Jason Witten has a lacerated spleen it’s possible he could miss the regular season or he could have to get surgery. If he gets surgery he could be out longer. This is a huge blow to the up and down Cowboys.

LB James Harrison the controversial Steelers player had to have minor knee surgery that may cause him to be out the regular season opener. Hopefully this won’t be an all year problem for the sack master linebacker.

Texans broke the checkbook out for their starting LT Duane Brown. Brown received a multiyear extension worth up to 53.4 million with 22.08 million guaranteed. It pays to be a good tackle, aye Duane you want to hook a brotha up with a donation?

The Dolphins cut WR Chad Johnson. Everybody knows the situation hopefully he will be able to bounce back.

MLB

Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera is suspended 5o games because he tested positive for testosterone. Damn Melky this is a big blow to the Giants who are in the hunt for a post season spot. Melky is hitting .346, has 11 home runs and 60 RBIs.

Mariners P Felix Hernandez threw a perfect game. He served the Tampa Bay Rays with a 12 k perfect game. One of the lone bright spots for the lowly Mariners.

NBA

The Suns signed C Jermaine O’Neal. Hey not much as happened this week this is all the NBA has that has caught my eye smh.

NCAA

The Big East Conference finally has a new commissioner, his name is Mike Aresco. Hopefully this will help solidify the conference good luck Mike good luck.

Thanks for checking out this weeks rundown until next week, PEACE
