It paid to be a Quarterback this offseason

The ultimate glamor position and they get paid to be the face of a franchise if their play allows them to reap the benefit.

Since the end of the 2012 NFL season a few QB’s were given the keys to a few Brick’s trucks.

The QB’s who cashed in on their owners generosity:

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers- 5 years 110 million dollars with 54 million guaranteed(34 million dollar signing bonus). Aaron is the best QB in the game right now and is currently the highest paid, he deserves it not much else I can say about Mr. Discount Double Check.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots- 3 years 27 million (altogether 5 years 57 million dollars with the whole 57 million guaranteed and a 30 million signing bonus). It’s Tom Brady he’s an OG what more can I say. I won’t crack any system jokes ha.

Matthew-Stafford-LionsMatthew Stafford, Detroit Lions- 3 years 53 million dollars (altogether 5 years 76.5 million dollars with 41.5 million guaranteed and a 27.5 million signing bonus). Stafford has a lot of talent but he has to be more consistent. A rocket for an arm and Megatron always makes live easier. He’s defiantly a great fantasy QB.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons- 5 years 103.75 million dollars with 59 million guaranteed. Ryan was paid swell, like Romo he only has one playoff win but Franchise QB’s don’t grow on trees so what is a team to do? With White and Jones on the outside you must have a QB who can get those playmakers the rock.

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens- 6 years 120.6 million with 52 million guaranteed (29 million dollar signing bonus). Mr. Superbowl played out of his mind last year but I think he’s a tad bit overpaid. It will be interesting to see how he plays without the emotional leaders on defense gone and his most dependable receiver gone west. Flacco bet on himself and won can’t be mad at that though no matter how you cut it. Get paid young man get paid.

Tony RomoTony Romo, Dallas Cowboys- 6 years 108 million dollars with 55 million guaranteed(25 million signing bonus). I’m not a big Romo fan, his numbers are impressive I can’t take that away from him but I would want a QB that doesn’t choke in the clutch before I shelled out that type of money. Honestly Dallas isn’t a bad team so they can’t bank on a high draft pick to replace him nor can they bank on a free agent to be better, Romo had them by the ankles at the negotiating table.

This off season taught us to breed a QB if you can folks. Let us know how you feel about these new deals!!
