Front Office Interview with Cleveland Gladiators Dominick Goodman

goodmanCurrent Cleveland Gladiators wide receiver Dominick Goodman was gracious enough to grant us an interview. The former Bearcats has been up in Cleveland for the last three years doing his thing. He’s coming off of an 147 rec., 1267 yard, 24 rec. TD’s along with another 3 TD’s on the rushing side.

The Cincinnati native has been making a name for himself while up and Cleveland, check out what Dominick has planned for the future.

JT: How was the adjustment from playing on a 60 yard field besides the traditional 100 yard field?

DG: It’s a big adjustment especially with running routes having to create separation from the db in a small space. A bigger adjustment is dealing with the wall when trying to make a catch.

JT: How does it feel to have 3 straight 100 plus catch seasons?
DG: It feels good it one of my goals to finish the season off with a 100 plus catches my ultimate goal is to get 200.
JT: Who do you model your game off of?
DG: I like to say a mixture of Jerry Rice with his route running and his hands. Also a little bit of Boldin with his YAC(Yards after catch) ability. The thing they have in common they don’t have blazing speed but they find a way to get the job done.
JT: Who is the best corner you’ve played against college or pro?
DG: I would have to say Revis the name speaks for itself.
JT: Have you been checking out the Bearcats on Saturday’s?
DG: Ya I been checking them out every week. It’s going to be an exciting game when they go against Louisville I will be at the game.
JT: What’s next for Dominick Goodman?
DG: Launching my new Goodie Brand. Going back up to Cleveland to play for the Cleveland Gladiators. Found out I’m going to play in Hawaii and China for the AFL. In November I have a workout with a CFL team. Still trying to get to the NFL, hopefully the Browns or the Bengals pick me up.
We wish Dominick the best of luck for his future endeavors. Make sure you check him out on twitter @WGWG_21 he’s a pretty active follow.
