Is Linsanity Back?

It seems like it was ages ago when Jeremy Lin dazzled the basketball world which gave him the nickname Linsanity. Since Linsanity died out in New York Lin never really got comfortable with the Houston Rockets last season.

Lin did have respectable numbers averaging (13.4 ppg and 6.1 assists per game), but he never lived up to the lofty expectations of his new contract.

This season Lin is averaging 18.2 ppg to go along with 4.9 assists. Lin is a part-time starter and has exploded as of late averaging over 25ppg in the past few contests.

The numbers look good for Lin, but can he keep up his stellar play? With James Harden, Chandler Parsons, and Dwight Howard being at the forefront of the offense’s focus I don’t see Lin scoring as much, but he can give them solid point guard play to get everything in order.

We may never see Linsanity unleashed ever again, it was fun while it lasted, but that doesn’t mean that Jeremy Lin can’t be a quality player.

With the pressure off of him after signing his contract, and with the acquisition of Dwight Howard life is a little easier on Jeremy Lin.
