So about a month of Sunday’s ago, in an infamous GroupMe chat titled “The Chaingang” or for the few that follow us on social networks #CG I asked Front Office News, Editor In Chief Jesse ‘JT’ Smith if he would be interested in having a CG version of the All-NBA team. Like the kind gentleman he is, he said yes! Now even though he said yes, its kinda taken me a while to get to “cooking” up this post as I have had some other meals(Grad School projects, Bigger Than Sneakers, The Local Legends Shootout III, and OSU Homecoming 2014) that I needed to prepare in my kitchen. I finally went to the store bought the groceries and now I’m ready to cook!
To give you all some background on “The Chaingang” we are an eccentric group of young professionals that have similar interest in music, social commentary, talking mess about each other and most importantly SPORTS! On a daily basis we have debates on “Did the Oklahoma City Thunder break the team up too soon?” or “Is LeBron going to be one the best ever when he’s done?” Sometimes the debates go on too long and get ridiculous but everyone is knowledgeable about the NBA and presents pretty solid points when making their claims.
This year I thought it was be pretty cool if we all did our version of the All-NBA teams and the postseason award winners. I sent out an email to NBA fans in The Chaingang and this is what we came up with……..
Mark Jackson is a great coach, a personal favorite, but coach of the year? Not this year.
Great picks across the board. Not sure how Kevin Durant didn’t get the unanimous MVP pick though.
I know I baller blocked Bron but how didn’t KD get first team after being picked for the MVP?
