My Perfect NBA Draft Lottery

Parker-Randle-WigginsThe NBA Draft is here again and this is a chance for teams to greatly improve their selves in what is being called one of the deepest drafts in years. Everybody’s guessing which way will their favorite team will go and if you want an idea then you can go online and find one of the hundreds of mock drafts out there. With that being said here’s another mock to add to the list, but this mock draft is different. I’m calling this the perfect mock for a perfect world. This is a representation of the perfect pick for each lottery team.

Creighton's Doug McDermott#1 Cleveland Cavaliers -Doug McDermott. After screwing up last year’s number one pick the Cavaliers select McDermott because they heard he was the best player in college and there ain’t no way the best college player could be a bust.

#2 Milwaukee Bucks – Glenn Robinson III. It worked out ok with his pops.

#3 Philadelphia 76ers – Andrew Wiggins. What do you think they tanked for?

#4 Orlando Magic – Marcus Smart. They were pretty much guaranteed to draft Smart last year until he decided to go back to school. They won’t let him get away this time.

#5 Utah Jazz – Jabari Parker. Of course the Jazz will select the Mormon Mamba.

#6 Boston Celtics – Nik Stauskas. The next great white hope just seems right for Boston.

#7 Los Angeles Lakers – Kyle Anderson. Because the last time they drafted a 6’9″ point guard went pretty well.

#8 Sacramento Kings – Andrew Wiggins. Because they’re the type of organization that would think they could draft someone who has already been drafted

#9 Charlotte Hornets – Jordan Clarkson and Jordan Adams. Spike said, “it gotta be the shoes” and Mike says, “it gotta be the name.”

#10 Philadelphia 76ers – Julius Randle. It gotta be the name right? Dr. J 2.0? Maybe not.

#11 Denver Nuggets – Cleanthony Early. After it’s too late the Nuggets realize that this is the draft not free agency and they just didn’t get the chance to sign C. Anthony early.

#12 Orlando Magic – Joel Embiid. In hopes of getting another great big man who will leave them to go play for the Lakers.

#13 Minnesota Timberwolves – Shabazz Napier. Pair him with Shabazz Muhammad to form the Shabazz brothers.

#14 Phoenix Suns – Jusuf Nurkic. After the success of Goran Dragic the Suns figure that they will ride this foreign thing out. It works for the Spurs.

There you have it, the perfect lottery. By no means do I believe this is how the draft will turn out, but in my own little bizarre world this is what make sense to me.
