NFL Fantasy Football: Week 2 Sleepers

Last week I fared pretty well, and hit on all three of my selections.  This week there a lot of favorable matchups this weekend so keep an eye out on who could have a good week on your fantasy team.

Trent Richardson indianpolis Colts, RB– I can’t believe I am typing this, but I feel that Trent Richardson is FINALLY due for a good game in a Colts uniform. It seems like Richardson hasn’t had a good game since his Alabama days and it seems like the great rookie season in Cleveland was ten years ago. The Colts are coming off of a tough loss, and with them needing to win I expect the Colts to try to establish the run to ease the pressure off of Andrew Luck against the Philadelphia Eagles. With the Eagles high-octane offense I can see the Colts running the ball more than usual to keep them off of he field. Can Richardson deliver for his team? This is a very bold choice, and it will be interesting to see how things shake up.

Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins, QB– Our favorite “cornball brotha” RGIII plays against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that gave up over 400 yards of total offense last week. Griffin will look to have a big game and look to exploit the secondary of the Jags this Sunday. Griffin was solid in his debut, but I think this week he reminds us all why he was such a special player coming into the NFL.

Andrew Quarless Green Bay Packers, TE– The Green Bay Packers will look to get on track against the New York Jets. Rodgers and the Packers came out flat in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, and they look to have a bounce back performance. The Jets have a pretty stout defense, but they have to focus on the guys like Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Eddie Lacy, and Aaron Rodgers. I feel that Quarless can sneak in and have a big game due to the lack of attention that he will receive. We know Rodgers will not have back to back bad games, and Andrew Quarless can be a recipient of a few big plays.

Those are the selections for the week. See you again next week.
