H.S. Football: CMAC Championship was decided at Taft?

Friday night the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference championship was played between Taft Senators 5-2 overall (3-0) conference and Shroder Jaguars 6-1 overall (3-0).

Shroder struck first as Tre’Son Martin scored from 15 yards out on the ground. Shroder up 6-0 in the first quarter.

6-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Taft makes big stand in the red zone holding Shroder to no points. Jaguars struck again in the 2nd quarter right before the half as Taylor Holston hit Charles Gamble for a 18 yard strike to take a 12-0 lead with 1:01 left in the quarter.

The lights went out right before half with around 30 seconds left.

Shroder through a winkle in their game plan as they added play action off of their Navy style triple option and Taft didn’t have much of an answer for it. With the game to resume tomorrow Taft will have two quarters and all night to see if they can solve Shroder.

Before leaving we heard they are trying to have the game back at Stargel Stadium at 7 PM tomorrow. If I hear anything else, I’ll update this post with he current information.
