Talks between Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and the front office have begun to get icy, again. It started last summer during his eight day holdout but ended when his 2015 salary jumped from $5 million to $6.5 million. He has played well when called upon this season and has done all that is asked of hi, but when asked by NFL.com about the future it doesn’t look like he has one in Seattle.
The skittle loving running back will be 29 at the start of next season which is virtually a dinosaur at that position. With the design of most NFL teams heading for strictly pass oriented offenses, I completely understand why Lynch wants to strike while the iron is hot and cash in during his prime. The reigning super bowl champs will miss his services if the divorce goes through.
