Yesterday I was surfing Instagram and stumbled across Boxing Guru’s page to see that Cincinnati’s own Adrien Broner is going to fight Rances Barthelemy in Cincinnati on June 20th. The big sites haven’t reported it yet, but I’ve been hearing rumblings the last few weeks that Broner was fighting in June and it was either going to be in New York or Cincinnati. I’m personally happy the fight is in Cincinnati because that means The Front Office News will have a high chance at being in the building covering the fight. If I was a guessing man I’d say the fight will be at the US Bank Arena in downtown Cincinnati.
Barthelemy is 22-0 with 13 KOs is a former featherweight, similar to Broner. Broner is 30-1 with 22 KOs. The man they call “The Problem” is currently on a three fight winning streak since being upset by Marcos Maidana and looked very impressive as he dominated John Molina in March.
Hopefully PBC or ESPN confirms this information soon, but Boxing Guru normally is pretty accurate when giving information.
