Grizzlies playoff future looks bleak without Conley

When CJ McCollum accidentally elbowed Mike Conley, the Grizzlies playoff advancement past the 1st round became very cloudy. The Grizzlies and Conley had taken full control of their series versus the Trail Blazers, but the task ahead of them was a tall task even with all hands on deck.

Conley and his facial fracture have no set time to return and with them having to face the Warriors in the 2nd round (currently up 3-1 on the Trail Blazers) it looks like the Grizzlies will be going home soon. When your leader and point guard bring so much to the table in the playoffs it is hard to replace his intangibles.

During the first 3 games he did a great job at making Damian Lillard’s life hell on the court, which isn’t an easy task. Conley normally plays best when the lights or shining aka the playoffs he’s held his own against all of the West elites (Parker, Paul, Westbrook and Lillard) making him one of the elites in my book, but he’s still in the underrated category because of his market and teams style of play.

Get healthy Mike the Grizzlies need you, but with you out of the fold for a while your Grizzlies won’t have much of a shot to upset the Warriors.
