Throwback Thursday: Vince Young and Texas Defeats USC in the National Title Game

It’s crazy to think that it has been ten years since one of the biggest National Championship Games in recent memory. At the time USC was the more heralded team. The Trojans were coming off of a National Championship and they had a bevy of NFL talent on both sides of the ball. It seemed it was a no brainier to crown them the title for the 2005-2006 season, but Vince Young and the Longhorns had something to say about it. 

Vince Young had one the of the best national title games in history combining for 467 total yards (267 passing and 200 rushing yards). Let’s take a trip down memory lane, and check out the video below.
