The state of Ohio’s top point guard prospect Xavier Simpson made a decision to choose the school up north (Michigan) over many national powerhouses. Simpson, a point guard out of Lima Senior High School is expected to be an instant success for the Wolverines. The Wolverines have been fortunate to capitalize on some great Ohio high school basketball talent in Caris Levert and Trey Burke. Simpson has a long way to go to reach the stature of the aforementioned names, but only time will tell. This is a great pickup for John Belien’s program, and it should help secure their needs at the point guard position over the next few years.
