Terrelle Pryor Gets a Workout with the New England Patriots

The often cut former quarterback Terrelle Pryor may have another opportunity to showcase his new found wide receiver skills. The best team in the NFL the New England Patriots came calling and offered a workout to see Pryor’s ability to play the WR position. Pryor made the Cleveland Browns 53 man roster, but he was waived to make extra space for running back Robert Turbin. Pryor had an injured hamstring for majority of the preseason, and he played sparingly in the final preseason game against the Chicago Bears. When Pryor was healthy he displayed freakish athleticism as well as good hands. Of course his route running wasn’t as crisp as the other wide receivers, but when you have a 6-6 240 monster he poses matchup problems for cornerbacks.

It may sound cliché’, but another man’s trash is another man’s treasure. If the Patriots decide to strike a deal with Pryor it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Bill Belichick is known for taking players that aren’t wanted by teams, and turn them into formidable prospects. As of now Pryor doesn’t have a deal with the Pats, but if he does be on the lookout.
