Sound Mind Sound Body: Ford Field Takeover Recap

The off-season has been very active regarding Michigan High School Football. Sound Mind Sound Body is one of many programs in the state that has assumed the duties of keeping the parents and student-athletes active with workouts, seminars, and showcases.

After an eventful outing on December 26th, where Sound Mind Sound Body provided a day of inspiration for the youth, on December 27th, the Ford Field Takeover was at the forefront.

Some of the top talent in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and surrounding areas wowed their position coaches and those in attendance.

Notable names such as Detroit King’s Jalen Bell, Marvin Ham II, Deshawn Ingram, Rashawn Williams played well in their position groups.

Others such as West Bloomfield linebacker Lance Dixon, Bolingbrook’s Marques Buford, East English Village Prep’s Lemuel Watley and Jordan Anderson, Bellville’s Andre Seldon Jr., Jalen Williams, and Damon Payne, Harrison’s Rod Heard Jr., and a host of others were impressive throughout the day.

In addition to the showcase for the high schoolers, the future stars of Michigan High School football talents were on display as the 10-U, 12-U, and 14-U held their All-Star games.
