Audio: Shaq disses LaVar Ball over Jay-Z beat

LaVar Ball and Shaq have had a few jabs for each other in the following months. We all know LaVar to be a media lighting rod, whenever a mic in his face (pause) he is liable to say anything and mostly he does that.

Shaq said he should charge less than $495 to make it affordable for the kids, like his Shaq shoes that are in Wal-Mart and LaVar of course clapped back saying something to the tune of you got shoes there, I don’t have to.

LaVar was asked if he and LaMelo could beat Shaq and Shareef and of course he gave us some headline material and now we have the Shaq diss track.

Meet us in the comments with your thoughts.

Lonzo Ball posts a triple double in Harden’s

Lonzo has kicked the Zo 2’s to the side the last two summer league games. He wore Kobe’s (Nike) on Wednesday and James Harden’s (Adidas) on Thursday. In the Harden’s he posted his second triple double of the Summer League. He has 16 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is a good look for the Lakers to see the constant improvement from Ball, but what shoes will he be wearing during the season?

Check out his triple double.

Lonzo Ball has his best Summer League game wearing Kobe’s!

Lonzo Ball ditched the Zo 2’s for some Kobe’s and racked up a stat line of 36 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists against the Philadelphia 76ers. What does that mean for the Big Baller Brand shoes? Maybe they need to tweak the technology in the shoes? Or did Zo just want to wear some Kobe’s? I don’t know, but check out video of Ball going to work in the Summer League. I wonder what De’ Aaron Fox thinks about playing a day after sitting out against him?

Fultz drafted to the 76ers, Ball drafted by the Lakers and Butler traded to T’Wolves

After the 20th of June went crazy in the NBA, the day of the NBA Draft was just as crazy. Would Paul George or Jimmy Butler be dealt? Would the 76ers draft Markelle Fultz, would the Lakers draft Lonzo Ball?

During the draft Fultz and Ball went one and two just like everyone predicted, but after that everything got interesting and the main situation that caught everyone for a loop was the Chicago Bulls trading star wingman Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. I’m going to be the first and I know I won’t be the last to say the Bulls got worked like “a chick at the Bodytap” (I always wanted to use that Young Jeezy line), but it is super relevant in this situation.

Trade Breakdown:

Bulls get:

Guard Kris Dunn
Guard Zach LaVine
Forward Lauri Markkanen (7th Pick)

Timberwolves get:

Guard/Forward Jimmy Butler
Forward Justin Patton (16th Pick)

My question is this how do you trade the proven all-star and all-NBA player and still swap a pick? Do better Chicago management do better.

Shoutout to Lavar Ball for laying the blueprint down that got his son in LA. Now we know Ball has talent, but normally when you have something saying it is going to happen before it happens it Jedi mind tricks the team into not doing what makes the most since. Big Baller Brand in LA, more Lavar interviews on deck.

Why did LaVar Ball go off on Kristine Leahy?

Well yesterday LaVar Ball went off on Fox Sports analysis Kristine Leahy on Colin Cowherd’s show, at first glance it may look like LaVar was being extra, but after doing some research it seems like he had a leg to stand on as Leahy and colleague Jason Whitlock went in on Ball and his brand on a recent show.

Ball said only thing Whitlock can comment on is donuts. Love him or hate him he is a media lighting bolt and every time we talk about him it is helping his brand if you like it or not.

Check out both clips and let us know your thoughts!

Do you have a problem with LaVar Ball’s plan?

If you haven’t had a TV or a smart phone in the last year or so then maybe you haven’t heard of LaVar Ball. I’m guessing you have both devices and probably more electronic devices it is just the way of the world currently. Ball a former college basketball player has three sons all are going or have went to UCLA (Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo), so his profile has grown within the last 365 days.

Lonzo had a sensational freshman season at UCLA and has declared for the NBA Draft, no matter who you speak to they all say he will be a top 5 pick and probably number one or two in this June’s draft. As good as Lonzo is on the court his father is even louder off the court, from bringing up LeBron James kids in an interview, from going at Charles Barkley, to saying he can beat Michael Jordan in one on one (Not Michael B. Jordan either smh), speaking with Stephen A. Smith on First Take, saying UCLA lost because of the Caucasian players being too slow and the lists goes on and on. He is a walking and talking media story, if you need something to talk about just seek out LaVar and he will help you get some views and some buzz around your timeline or site, it damn near seems like the Ball way.

LaVar wants a major shoe company to co-brand with Big Baller Brand for the tune of 1 billion dollars, that isn’t a typo, Adidas, Nike and Under Armour have already declined. All three major brands would’ve loved to sign Lonzo to a 4-5 year deal at 1-2 million per year, but the ambitious LaVar has halted that aspect of income. If the co-branding deal is going to come about it will have to be from a foreign shoe company like Anta, Li-Ning or Peak (just to name a few). Lonzo is a hell of a talent, but to get a co-branding deal without setting the NBA on fire is pretty much insane, no other superstar player was able to leverage a deal of that sort without playing a single game.

That brings us to last week when Big Baller Brand dropped the Zo2: Prime for a whopping $495 you can get them preorder, but they won’t be shipping out until November. You can get a pair autographed for $995, a steal right? Would you buy them?

Now that we know that LaVar is certified crazy, I will say I like what he is trying to do by getting him and his family more of the cut, but as a person that watches the industry on a pretty close basis he didn’t take the right angle to make sure this gets done. Unless, UNLESS a foreign shoe company saves them and co-brands, which is possible because none of those companies get young stars so they may break the mold and if that happens it could be a free for all if Ball gets his way.

Personally I think if LaVar should’ve let Lonzo take the big company deal, prove himself to be a legit asset in the NBA, he could’ve possibly made the deal work on the back end of the first deal, but unless you are in the LeBron, Jordan and or Kobe air then it is hard for this to work.

If you pay $495 for some Zo2’s you need to slap yourself and I have some land to sell you in North Dakota if you want to throw your money away.

If this plan doesn’t work then will any of the big companies take Lonzo on a regular shoe deal? If I was a betting man they would, but it won’t be for major money and if that happens to be the case LaVar will cost his son legit income in endorsements. With that being said I feel the angle (pause), but the execution is sloppy.
