Welcome to the New World Order

Two summers ago the Miami Heat became the most hated team in sports. With LeBron James and Chris Bosh teaming up with Dwyane Wade it created a lot of negative publicity. From “The Decision” to the welcome party that ruffled many peoples feathers across the NBA the Miami Heat did all of the wrong things when trying to start their new dynasty. Last season against the Dallas Mavericks the Heat came up short of a NBA Title, and Lebron failed under immense pressure.

The Miami Heat of the NBA is the NWO of basketball. The NWO was the most hated group in wrestling, because they had the best of the best. When watching wrestling you had to keep an eye on the NWO, because you never know what you are going to see. That goes for the Miami Heat as well. The Heat may be the most hated team, but they fill up every arena, and they grab all of the television headlines as well.

Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Macho Man Randy Savage were just a few big names that were a part of the New World Order. Eric Bischoff was the brains behind the madness and they were unstoppable. They raised hell and dominated like no other.

“Hollywood” Hulk Hogan broke many fans’ hearts when he turned into the bad guy. This situation is similar to LeBron in Cleveland.

LeBron was everything to Cleveland and they praised him like he was a god. LeBron leg dropped the city of Cleveland on national television and became an instant villain.

From the burning of the jerseys to Dan Gilbert’s “Cry me a River” letter, LeBron was looked at in a negative manner for the first time ever.

NBA greats such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley all criticized James for the decision he made.

History shows that in order to win a Championship you need a combination of star power, and the perfect role players to complete the job.

Magic played with stars such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy, Bob McAdoo, and defensive specialist Michael Cooper. Michael Jordan didn’t win a title until Scottie Pippen became an All-NBA performer.

LeBron may have taken this process out of control by having a one-hour television special and using bad advice given to him by Maverick Carter and Rich Paul who are a part of his marketing brand, but he was tired of playing with D-list players.

As a head coach, Mike Brown was great a defensive mind, but he lacked skill coaching on the offensive side of the ball.

In order to win championships, you have to have a complete roster; having quality star players and role players are the key ingredients into building a championship team.

In this day and age it is rare to see a player of this magnitude take a pay cut and show that he is willing to sacrifice anything to win championships. In this era of spoiled athletes this was something that caught everyone off guard.

Yes, LeBron talks in third person, wears sunglasses inside buildings and calls himself the King, but this is the persona that the media helped to create.

After the Miami Thrice was assembled, Dwayne Wade stated that the Heat will sell out every game this season and the other organizations can thank them for selling out their venues.

The New World Order packed every arena on Monday night fans hated them, but were willing to pay anything to see them in person.

This will be something that the NBA hasn’t seen in a long time. Everyone is praying for the Heat’s downfall, but all of the hate is just adding fuel to the fire.

Chris Bosh was called out by Jerry Colangelo questioning his heart while playing for Toronto. I can go on for days about the negative comments made during this whole process.

There have been countless verbal attacks on the young trio. Some of it may be deserved, but a lot of the small talk is pure ignorance.

Many “experts” are in denial about the success the Miami Heat can achieve. Pat Riley is the brains behind this team as Eric Bischoff was the brains behind the New World Order.
Last seasons failures motivated the team this year to play and carry themselves like champions. LeBron James and the Miami Heat hoisted the Larry O’Brien trophy and shouted to the sky. It was monkey off of his back and winning the championship was a total team effort. The Heat winning the title reminded me of Hollywood Hogan winning the WCW World Championship. It was jubilation for a hated group, but the domination is just getting started.

This experiment in Miami is officially a success after winning the championship. They have one, but they could get two, three, four…..you know the rest, but I won’t go as far as seven lol.
