Michael Phelps is Gearing Up For Another Historic Run at the Olympics

In the 2008 Olympics Michael Phelps won a record 8 gold medals in the swimming events. Swimming is a sport that does not garner many headlines, but when it comes to Phelps and Team USA it will be lights, camera, and action.  It is cool to see other athletes succeed on such a big stage. On the day-to-day as a sports fan we see football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, and tennis grace various sports networks. Olympic season is great for those who are not normally in the spotlight. Michael Phelps became a sports icon due to the 2008 Olympics.
