Peyton Manning is on board to make his debut in the Mile High City this season.
Manning sat out all last season due to a severe neck injury and missed all 16 games of the season. This is the first time Peyton has ever dealt with any type of injury, and the Indianapolis Colts felt the wrath of missing #18.
The Colts were an abysmal 2-14 and for the most part was a healthy team other than not having Manning. It comes to show you how important Manning was to the Colts. It will be interesting to see how things shape up L.A.P. (Life after Peyton)
During Manning’s tenure with the Colts he had the opportunity to team up with Edgerrin James, Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, Tarik Glenn, and various other players.
The Colts will look a lot different without Manning after selecting rookie quarterback Andrew Luck this past NFL Draft. Both the Colts and Broncos will be going over makeovers this season. The Colts will be going through the rebuilding phase, and the Broncos will be trying to make an attempt at an AFC West crown now that Manning is in the fold.
Last season the Broncos went 8-8 and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opening round of the playoffs.
The Broncos were led by a stout defense and a few “Angels in the Outfield” moments from Tim Tebow and the Broncos offense. It will be interesting to see how Manning performs with a legitimate defense behind him.
If Manning is anything close to the 4-time MVP we are accustomed to seeing sky is the limit for the Denver Broncos.
