On Saturday I was able to scratch off a highly ranked item on my bucket list. My wife hooked me and my pops up with some tickets to the Ohio State vs Illinois game in Columbus. Even though this year the Bucks can’t go to a bowl game this year the atmosphere was still dope.
Got there early and saw that Buckeye tailgates are crazy. People had full trailers , buses decked out with Buckeye paraphernalia, satellites and flat screen TVs. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was pretty dope to me.
I was able to walk about the Buckeye sports complex , which is pretty damn dope if I say so myself. The highlight of the non game part of the trip was seeing the track named after Jesse Owens and taking a few pics in front of the statue.
Once outside of the stadium I understood why the Bucks have a rich tradition. This place held over 100k in people. Just the thought was crazy, the place is huge and seeing it on TV did it no justice.
Once the game kicked off I got to see the Buckeyes dominate a struggling Fighting Illini team who normally gives the Bucks a hard time. Braxton had over 300 yards total offense with 3 tds, Carlos Hyde ran wild scoring 3 tds and rushing for over 100 yards and the defense looked pretty solid. The Bucks won 52-22, I stayed for the whole game even though it was out of hand by the end of the 2nd quarter. Even got to see America’s favorite backup Kenny Guiton play.
Me and my pops had a blast watching the blow out and got to see our favorite college football team in the process. I’ve had a pretty dope last few years attending sports events, as I check another item off of my list. If anybody wants to be generous feel free to send me some Buckeye vs Wolverine tickets!!
