Andre Johnson is Still One of the Greats– Sometimes Andre Johnson gets lost in the shuffle when mentioning the top receivers. With Megatron and Larry Fitzgerald stealing most of the headlines it is mind-boggling how people forget about Johnson. Johnson has been flying under the radar, because he has not been putting up A-plus numbers, but in Sunday’s contest against the Jaguars he put up video game numbers with 14 receptions 243 yards, and the game winning touchdown in overtime.
Michael Vick is not Philadelphia’s Only Problem– The quarterback is easy to blame most of the time, but when your quarterback is a convicted felon who’s criminal past may have made him more famous than his accomplishments on the field can really put a big red target on someone. We all know that the Eagles offensive line is horrible, but the play calling and defense are about as bad. What happened to Nnamdi? What happened to Trent Cole and Justin Babin creating havoc? I think someone owes former defensive coordinator Juan Castillo an apology.
RGIII is a Special Talent– Yes we all know that RGIII is a great quarterback in the making, but his near perfect game against the Eagles was his best game yet as a pro. I was impressed how Griffin eluded pressure to keep plays alive as well as his play recognition when the defense looked as if they were going to blitz. Griffin went 14 for 15 to go along with 200 yards and 4 touchdowns. Griffin is only scratching the surface, and will improve as a quarterback after each snap. For the first time in a long time it’s not a bad thing being a Redskins fan.
Andrew Luck and the Colts got a Reality Check– The Colts have been steam rolling opponents going on a recent 4 game winning streak. The streak was halted after Luck’s Colts lost to the New England Patriots (59-24). I don’t think that the Colts will make the playoffs this season, but no matter how their season ends they can be very happy about the future with Andrew Luck.
Colin Kaepernick Creates Quarterback Controversy– Yes, I was that happy 49er fan caught in the moment yelling for Alex Smith to go the bench after seeing Kaepernick make the Chicago Bears defense silly on the bright stage of Monday Night Football. Kaepernick displayed arm strength as well as the ability to extend plays with his legs. Alex Smith has not done anything wrong, but the lack of risk taking and ultra conservative play has led to concerns in the Bay Area. Kaepernick brings a different element to the game(big play ability), and the offensive players were like kids in a candy store after seeing the ball fly off of Kaepernick’s hands pass after pass. Watching the game you could feel the excitement that Kaepernick brought to the field. Jim Harbaugh has a tough choice to make if Alex Smith is healthy for next week’s game against the Saints. If it were up to me I would stick with the hot hand lol.
Dre Johnson is my favorite receiver in the league. two years ago I felt he was the best point blank period. He’s still an elite receiver I’m happy that the Texans are finally starting to win so he’s getting love.
Colin just Wally Pipp’d Alex mane.
The Eagles suck as a whole man the media needs to apologize to Vick lol
RGIII is a dog and a leader already named team captain as a rookie that’s amazing in itself.
The Pats ran train on the Colts my G got damn.
Dre Johnson is cold lol. There is no other way to put it. I also forgot to shout out Jacoby Jones for hittin that Choppa City Juke lol. haa.
