Everyone knows that wide receiver’s are perceived as divas. You have your Andre Johnson’s of the world who go about their business in quiet fashion, but wide receiver position is notoriously known for having outspoken players.
Since the NFL regular season former Detroit Lions Wide Receiver made the headlines for several foolish instances. Young’s twitter page was active and the Detroit Lions took notice of his behavior. Prior to the end of the season Young was out of the rotation, and he was sort of exiled off the team.
Things of that nature tend to happen when you are a legend in your own mind. I could see if Young had the same production on the field as “Megatron” then some of his rants would get a pass. Young had the case of the Freddie Mitchell syndrome when he actually forgot what type of player that he was.
Young was picked up by the St. Louis Rams and will have a chance at a second opportunity. Head coach Jeff Fisher is a stickler for discipline, and will likely have Young on a short leash. There is nothing wrong with being confident in your abilities, but Young has to realize who he is as a player before he goes off the handle again.
