Dwight Howard may be the best center in the NBA, but that’s like being the smartest kid on the short bus.
Since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers Howard has not been himself on the court. You can blame it on his back, shoulder, Kobe, or the multiple baby mother’s that he has to keep quiet.
We all know Howard can play a lot better than he has thus far. Expectations were Kurt Cobain high in Tinseltown at the beginning of the season. It went from Championship or Bust to I think we are going to make the playoffs.
The Lakers seem to be on the right path after winning four out of their last five games, but Dwight Howard needs to raise his level of play. I know playing with Kobe is not one of the easiest things in the world to do, but you have to accept the challenge when you are looked at as one of the great players in the NBA. Kobe can only will his team to so many victories at his age. That places a lot of pressure on Howard’s broad shoulders, that he is not use to having deal with.
This summer will be crucial for both Howard and the Lake Show. Despite playing at a high level Kobe is nearing his AARP years, and Howard has a bad history of decision making. Things will get interesting in L.A. for the next few months. This story could not play out any better under the bright lights of Hollywood. Until then the real Dwight Howard needs to stand up!
