Is Tiger Woods Back? That is a great question that I don’t have an answer to. Tiger may not be back all of the way, but Tiger Woods actually looked like the Tiger of old during this past golf tournament.
Woods won the WGC- Cadilac Championship, which is perfect timing to be playing with a lot of confidence with the Master’s coming up in April. What made the victory impressive is that Woods had a -19 under par. Yes, this may be a score friendly golf course, but when you have been struggling you will take anything.
Tiger’s short game was on and when his short game is on he is pretty hard to defeat. Even though it was not a major, this is a huge stepping stone for Woods and his confidence on the golf course.
We all know that Woods has not been the same player since 2009. Whether it was his publicized divorce, health, or focus on the golf course Woods was mediocre at best. It is always good to see greats bounce back, and it will be even sweeter if Wood’s continues to show flashbacks of his old self.
I don’t know what Tiger’s regiment was leading up to the WGC-Cadilac Tournament, but it should remain the same leading into his next few tournaments.
