Free agency is great for teams make improvements, some over spend, some under spend and some cut or trade your favorite players. It’s apart of the ugly cycle but some of these moves improve your team on Madden more than in real life and that’s what I’m here for today.
In my free time I play Madden just as much as the next person and after every free agency period you know that some teams that nobody played with last year online on a regular basis will get more burn during the newest copy of Madden.
Madden 11 it was an Eagles craze when they signed Michael Vick. Everybody played with them no matter how many times you played the game you would have to battle this team 90% of the time. With Vick having a cannon and being able to take off all of the novice players wanted to run with them.
Madden 12 I can’t remember who the free agent was that everybody went crazy over but I remember playing the Panthers and Raiders a lot because of two rookies: Terrelle Pryor and Cam Newton.
Madden 13 it was a 49ers craze because of the signing of Randy Moss. I’m a 9ers fan and I’ve never seen so many people pick the 9ers when I already had them chose. I know the team has had a resurgence the last two years but it’s crazy online trying to run with them.
I’m going to give you a few teams you will get tired of playing against in Madden 14:
Miami Dolphins: Miami cashed out WR Mike Wallace. Wallace is one of the fastest people on Madden so you know people will be trying to play with them. You may wonder where all of these Dolphin fans came from. They also signed TE Dustin Keller and made some improvements on their defense.
Detroit Lions: Not only do they already have Megatron but they signed Madden king RB Reggie Bush. Bush has been playing solid in real life but he’s always been a Madden asset. Reggie will be returning kicks, punts and getting on your nerves every time you play this team.
Philadelphia Eagles: Any team with Vick will always get mass Madden burn. Everyone thought Vick was on the first ticket out of Philly but the signing of HC Chip Kelly gave Vick new life and will be terrorizing Madden players on a normal basis. They also made some improvements on defense signing S Kenny Phillips, LB Connor Barwin and DT Issac Sopoaga.
Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs signed corners Sean Smith and Donta Robinson which will help that secondary make some plays. The best move besides locking up WR Dwayne Bowe was trading for QB Alex Smith which will get the Chiefs a QB with a rating between 85-90 overall. Hell of a come up over Cassel. With the weapons that team has don’t be shocked if you play them a lot.
Seattle Seahawks: The Hawks traded for swiss army knife speedster Percy Harvin. People love speed and this move give them a lot of Madden speed plus a mobile QB smh. They also signed two legit defensive ends in Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. Be on the lookout for these guys.
I don’t know if these moves will work in real life but all these teams will get on your nerves on Madden 14 trust me. Free agency is still booming so let us know if you agree with my analysis. If you don’t play Madden it may be hard to put your two cents in but all feed back is good feed back.
