People break up and get back together all the time. Whenever you hear about situations like this 95% of the time you wonder why they get back together. Most of the time if it didn’t work the first time it’s probably not going to work the second time. I guess we get caught up with the good times besides thinking about the times that made the partnership breakup.
This week the Cavs after firing Byron Scott, went with the known known by bringing back Mike Brown. Yes, the same Mike Brown they fired before Bron made The Decision yep that same guy. Brown did accomplish a lot of good things during his tenure in Cleveland we can’t deny that but if you dig deeper into the surface you know why Mr. Gilbert canned Mike in the first place.
Brown is a former coach of the year, had the most wins in the NBA two years, led the Cavs to a finals appearance and helped LeBron win a few MVPs. During his five year tour of duty in the Land he had a 272-138 record.
Brown didn’t have a honeymoon his whole tenure in Cleveland because of the success and one of the best players in the NBA on his side failures were magnified ten fold. Brown’s mishaps in the playoffs were his downfall during his first run. We all know during the regular season he is a solid coach and should turn the team around but when the playoffs come around we have seen him not make adjustments on the fly and some of the adjustments he makes after a game are very questionable.
Some people in Cleveland are happy some are not. Cleveland knows Brown doesn’t have LeBron to mask a lot of his deficiencies.
My question about this newly rekindled relationship is why did Mike Brown comeback after being FIRED? After I won coach of the year I get canned now I’m the solution? What happened when you thought I wasn’t the man for the job a few years ago? Money is money I understand that but I guess Brown is a bigger man than me for going back to the Cavs, I personally would’ve told Danny G. to go f*** himself and the cloud he came in on.
Gilbert worked his magic in got Brown to say yes. Brown is locked in for 5 years at a total of 20 million dollars. I guess money talks and bullsh** walks but will this relationship workout for the betterment of the organization this time? Or will these two part ways harshly again? Only time will tell and let us know how you feel about these two being reunited.
