Grant Hill was a guest on the set of NBA on TNT during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals series. Soon as the show started he dropped a bomb live on national TV, Hill is retiring after 19 years. Your age will reflect how much appreciation you have for Hill, if you are in your early 20’s you may not have much to say about Hill but if you are in your late 20’s or older you remember what Hill once was.
During my teenage years Hill had cats all around wearing FILA’s, yeah FILA’s and drinking a lot of sprite. If you look at FILA now I don’t know a person in the league who could get kids to wear them joints. Honestly when Hill got hit with the injury bug FILA suffer the same fate but they never recovered. He also had very dope sprite commercials on a yearly basis, I’m going to attach the link to my favorite one as a youngster, you remember the Grant Hill drinks Sprite one?
Hill played 19 seasons in the NBA and played for the (Pistons, Magic, Suns and Clippers) but I will always remember the 6 years where he put in work for the Pistons before the devastating ankle injury that derailed his sure-fire hall of fame career. Those were the years where he had people saying he was “The Next Jordan”, yes LeBron isn’t the first person they have tried to compare to the Great Mike. I won’t put up his career stats because I want to bask in the glory years of Hill during his 6 seasons with the Pistons he averaged 21.6 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 6.3 apg and 1.6 spg. This guy was a walking triple double. Hill was an All Star 7xs, rookie of the year and All NBA 5xs.
