We all knew this day would be coming soon. The artist formerly known as Ron Artest was amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday. World Peace made previous claims that he would retire if the Lakers would have released him, and now that seems like a legitimate claim.
During Metta’s tenure as a Laker he helped win a championship, and played a huge role on the defensive side of the ball. As Metta’s time with the Lakers went on he declined by the season.
In Laker land World Peace will probably be remembered more for his name change, and random antics.
