Media can we please stop saying the Lakers will get Bron and Melo in 2014

I know the NBA season is over and baseball doesn’t give us the jump off of the paper headlines but can we please stop pulling sh*t out of ***** with the Lakers getting Melo and Bron. One thing that makes sense is the  Lakers will have the cap space to possiblity make this happen but this is a real pipe dream, it sounds good to drum up some interest but we all know this is a damn mirage keep interest during the summer.

Two years ago it was the media saying the Lakers would get Howard and Paul which almost happened if it wasn’t for David Stern but that was a more reasonable situation. I too thought that was outlandish until Mitch almost pulled a whodini trick out.

Now I do think it is possible they could get Melo during next summer’s free agent warfare. Why do I think that? I give you a few reasons:

1. The Knicks know Amare isn’t going to opt out next summer

2. They can’t amnesty Amare

3. This leaves the Knicks stapped on the moves they can make to improve their team

Bron isn’t coming to LA for more than just to play the Lakers, that is all I can see happening and these are the reasons why:

1. Why would Bron help Kobe get more rings?

2. If everyone opts out in Miami money will be able to rearranged

3. Everyone and their momma takes less to play with the Heat

The Lakers getting both isn’t going to happen but they maybe able to get 2 or 3 good free agents to help them right the ship. As a Lakers fan and a realist I’m tired of seeing this headline. I know the Lakers will make some noise off season but it won’t be by getting both of these players, it would be nice if it happened but I’m not a molly popper so I won’t believe the mirage put up by the media. At worse Melo we would welcome you with open arms come across country in LA.
