Free Agent Quarterback Vince Young was recently seen at the ESPY awards last week. Other than being seen at the ESPY’S Vince Young has been laying low. Young worked out at UT for their pro day this past spring, and had a good showing. Despite a strong workout, he is still in the unemployed line.
The former pro bowler had a brief stint with the Buffalo Bills, but he did not secure a roster spot. Young has expressed his interest in wanting to play, but no team has called for his services. Many people are leery of Vince Young’s work ethic, maturity, and character issues, but despite all of the negatives there are many positive attributes that a team can use.
There are several teams that can use a backup quarterback, but which teams are willing to take that risk. Signing Young can be a low risk gamble that could provide insurance amidst any type of injury.
No disrespect, but if quarterbacks like Greg McElroy and Chase Daniel can cash NFL checks, why not Vince?!?!
Only time will tell if Vince Young will receive another shot.
