Michael Beasley is an enigma of some sort; we know about him consistently getting his Ricky Williams on and can’t leave the trees alone. Beasley needs to be a main promoter of the LBS brand, no joke but besides that we all know he has a world of talent.
Beasley was drafted by the Heat with the 2nd pick of the 2008 draft, the first pick was Derrick Rose but at the time it was heavy debate on Beasley getting that slot. Hindsight 20/20 the Bulls made the right move but that isn’t what we are here for today. Beasley was traded to make it financially possible for the Heat to create the big 3; he spent his first two years in Miami and showed flashes of being a star player. He spent two years in Minnesota, having his best year while a T’Wolve and spent the last year with the Suns.
Because of the recent run in with the law the Suns cut ties with Beasley buying out of the last two years of the contract at a lump sum of 7 million dollars. Leading the Heat to sign him at a low risk high reward deal being that it isn’t a guaranteed deal. If Beasley can control his tree intake he will be a very nice asset off of the Heat’s bench. He will provide scoring punch and rest for the 3 and 4 spot even in a down year with the Suns where he only averaged 20 minutes a game he still dropped 10 ppg.
With a winning culture surrounding him, Beasley can blame nobody but himself if he doesn’t flourish in South Beach this time around. Riley make sure you keep him from around any good tree connects to insure you get the best return out of investment.
I know lately we seem to be Michael Beasley news but me and Ron support Mike, we all three are left handed so he’s like our long lost tree smoking brother. Good luck to you Beasley take advantage of your opportunity.
