Peyton Manning is on pace to have an all time great season this year for the Denver Broncos. Exactly, how many times have you heard that mans name in the same sentence as greatness? In just eight games this season he has 29 touchdowns 2,919 yards passing and just 6 interceptions. He’s already a Hall of fame quarterback with a career that speaks for itself. He has 483 career touchdowns and over 60,00 yards passing.
Many analyst and football fans give him the title of best regular season quarterback of all time. Manning is a Super bowl MVP with every statistical category either on his resume or soon to be. The only issue is has he won enough? With all his achievements one could argue that he has still underachieved. He post a career playoff record of a humble 9-11.
Few would argue his brother Eli is better however Eli’s playoff record is 8-3 with two super bowl MVP’s both at the expense of Peyton’s nemesis Tom Brady who has 3 championships and been to 5. There is officially nothing left to do for Peyton except add to his ring collection. Too many times we’ve seen incredible seasons end with 1st round playoff exits (8 to be exact).
So while another statistically crazy season from Peyton is unfolding in front of us, like the cute little girl from the AT&T commercials “we want more, we want more.”
