The Cleveland Cavs finally got rid of their dead weight in Andrew Bynum after trading for Luol Deng. Prior to the season I thought Bynum would be a great fit, but I didn’t realize that Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters didn’t have the capabilities to play with a legit big. Bynum showed flashes in moments this season, and I am pretty sure he will find motivation to play the game again.
It’s hard to believe that Bynum doesn’t care about the game of basketball, because this is someone who improved every season as a Los Angeles Laker before having chronic knee issues. It’s hard to be motivated in a toxic environment. Playing for Mike Brown, and watching Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters play keep away from each other can give anyone a headache. The Chicago Bulls have Bynum now, and will likely cut him.
Who lands Bynum? There are many teams that can use Bynum, but there aren’t enough locker rooms that can handle him being an enigma. Call me crazy, but I sense Bynum finding motivation again, and will do whatever it takes to end up on South Beach. Winning cures anything, and being in Miami enjoying the scenery, and playing with the best basketball player in the world can get anyone motivated.
The Heat is working on the Greg Oden project, but they can find a way to dump guys like Joel Anthony and Roger Mason Jr. It’s a wild prediction that has some logic to it. If Bynum ends up in Miami, Dan Gilbert might be a huge reason why LeBron gets his third ring. Oh the irony!
Bynum will be in South Beach, Dallas or LA (Clippers). A team who should try to steal him is the Thunder.
