The movie Eddie came out in 1996. Eddie was one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid, because it was basketball related. My favorite character in the movie was Stacy Patton played by former NBA player Malik Sealy(R.I.P.). Patton could probably start for the New York Knicks today exemplified the new era of hoopers. Patton was a me-first, arrogant star that would have fit in well with the players of the NBA today. Patton was about as flashy as they came, and he talked trash with the best of them. Patton was rough around the edges, but eventually bought into head coach Eddie Franklin’s coaching style. Take a look at this movie clip of Stacey Patton at his best.
