With all the hype surrounding Lebron James’ recent feelings on his Mount Rushmore of basketball players swirling around, I figured I would take some time to marinate on the thought, and formulate what I feel is the “Rushmore” of basketball greats. Narrowing it down to just four players is so difficult, taking everything from individual stats to awards and championships to longevity into account. I decided to make it easier and do a Rushmore at every position. I’m aware people will be upset by my list but that’s life, can’t win em all. Compare your list to mine and let’s see if great minds really do think alike.

Center
Wilton Chamberlain
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Bill Russell
Shaquille O’Neal

Power Forward
Tim Duncan
Karl Malone
Charles Barkley
Moses Malone

Small Forward
Larry Bird
George Gervin
Elgin Baylor
Lebron James

Shooting Guard
Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant
Jerry West
Julius Erving

Point Guard
Earvin Johnson
Oscar Robertson
John Stockton
Jason Kidd
