Johnny Manziel had a great showing at his pro day at Texas A&M University. Manziel’s quarterback coach George Whitfield put him through a series of passing scenarios, and out of sixty passes Manziel only misfired on two. Manziel completed his workout in shoulder pads and a helmet, which is rare. I think it was a brilliant idea, because anyone can look great in shorts and a t-shirt.
During the Pro Day Manziel operated under center for the most part, and it is an area where Johnny didn’t spend a lot of time during his career running the spread offense with the Aggies. I think Manziel further proved that he can throw with the best of them despite his diminutive stature. If I had a high pick in the draft I would definitely take Manziel. Take a look at a video that displays Manziel’s fantastic pro day.
