Former NFL Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, Chad Johnson formerly called Chad Ochocinco will hit the turf again as he signed a two year deal with Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes today. Johnson is known for his appearance in ten seasons with the Bengals in which he 751 receptions for 10,783 yards and 66 touchdowns. He spent some time with the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins until he was cut after being arrested for domestic violence. Afterwards, Johnson became an analyst for CBSSports.com.
Johnson has broken at least six of the Cincinnati Bengals franchise records such as Most Receiving Yards In A Season, Most Receptions, Most Seasons With Over 1,000 Yards Rushing, and Most Touchdown Receptions just to name a few. He greatly impressed the Montreal Alouettes general manager, Jim Popp today during mini camp in Florida. According to Popp. Johnson, “… Johnson did an outstanding job the last three days,”he said. “As we added him into the mix, it was to see how he communicated with the players, how he held himself, the way he physically held up, his true interest in coming to the CFL.”
Johnson will get his chance to play when the Alouettes start their season on June 28th at Calgary.
