The NFL Draft starts today, and many former college football players will achieve a lifelong dream of playing professional football. This year’s draft has a different feel to it since it is so late in the year. It felt like the Draft would never come, but I am happy to say it’s finally here.
I’m not mad at the NFL Commissioner for trying something different, but it started to become over saturated with the over analyzing of the top-tier players coming out. From Teddy Bridgewater having skinny knee caps to the partying habits of Johnny Manziel it became a bit much.
Every week it appeared that there was a new person that could be drafted with the No.1 selection. I am sure that the players are more than excited to get their names called, and to change their financial makeup for themselves and their families.
I will go ahead speak for most football fans, and say that thank goodness that the NFL Draft his here.
To the players you’ve waited long for this moment, and congrats on making a dream come true. Just a friendly reminder, please don’t show up in a TJ Maxx Ralph Lauren a la Geno Smith, and you’ll be fine.
