I was honored to be able to get an interview from heavyweight contender Bryant “BY BY” Jennings before his big eliminator July 26th on HBO. Jennings is 18-0 with 10 KO’s. He is fighting Mike Perez in the WBC “World Boxing Council” eliminator at Madison Square Garden. A victory in this bout for Jennings will line him up for a title bout in the winner of Wilder/Stiverne.

JT- You have a fight coming up against Mike Perez, in a World Heavyweight Eliminator bout, how to do you plan on imposing your will during this fight?
BJ- I plan to come in tip top shape and being the complete fighter I know I am. I have tools that I will use come fight night.
JT- The first time I saw you fight it was against a cat named Maurice Byarm, I heard you took the bout on short notice, was that the match that starting to get your buzz going?
BJ- Yeah ever since that fight the national exposure started going through the roof.
JT- I’ve been following your twitter account and you’ve made it no mystery Klitschko, so you have him in your sights next, if not how many successful bouts do you think it would take to achieve the goal you have set out for yourself?
BJ- Yes, I have it in my sight because it seems that becoming the heavyweight world champion may come a lil’ easier nowadays. But defeating him and getting his belts is what’s special to me.
JT- I’ve known you rep Philly to the fullest and rock with State Property (one of my favorite groups) who is your favorite member?
BY- I rock with all of them. But Sigel was favorite during their time but my love extends to them all!
