Isaiah Thomas is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, and he is expected to sign a pretty solid deal during the NBA free agency period. Many teams are emptying their cupboard to chase Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, but there other free agents out there worth signing with Thomas being one of them.
Since coming into the NBA in 2011, Thomas has played with a gigantic chip on his shoulder. As a member of the Sacramento Kings, Thomas held his own with the best in the Western Conference. This past season Thomas’s numbers stacked up right up against Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Thomas doesn’t have the endorsements or national notoriety, but he can hold his own with the best of them. Thomas may be small in stature, but his game on the hardwood is larger than life. At this point it is unknown where Thomas will land, but wherever he goes the team will get a great player.
Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins have formed one of the best duos in the NBA, and it could be exciting to see them grow together in Sacramento, but Thomas has to do what is best for him. Being a late second round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft many teams passed up on Thomas twice. Now that Thomas is a free agent, teams are chasing him. Only time will tell where Thomas will end up, but I do know that teams won’t be passing on him this time around.
