Hall-of-Fame point guard Gary Payton turns 46 years of age today. Payton played seventeen years, and during that time frame he won a championship, a defensive player of the year award, two gold medals, and made nine NBA All-Star appearances. “The Glove” was a one of a kind competitor on both ends of the court, which is rarely seen in today’s version of the NBA.
During Payton’s career he was regarded as one of the best players at his position, and one of the game’s revered trash talkers. We at The Front Office News wanted to give a shoutout to one of the best point guards to ever play the game.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane, and watch Payton do what he does best.
