Team USA will be holding training camp in Las Vegas in preparation to play in the World Cup of Basketball in Spain during late August. Yesterday was day one of practice, and as expected Team USA looks pretty tough. Kevin Durant headlines this group of players as guys like Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, and LeBron James are not participating with Team USA this time around.
Despite not having the aforementioned players, Team USA is still expected to dominate the competition with the NBA’s young stars such as Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, and Paul George. Take a look at some footage of the the opening day of practices.
