A lot of people say that there will never be another Michael Jordan, and I believe that is true, but the same can be said for Magic Johnson. Standing a 6’9 Johnson was a once in a lifetime player at his position. Johnson redefined the point guard position as he introduced entertainment to the NBA with the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers. Even though Johnson was a fan favorite he was just as competitive as they come and he has the championships to show for. Johnson retired twice from the NBA in 1991 and in 1996, but he left an everlasting impact on the game itself. Some can vouch that Magic Johnson the businessman, entrepreneur and person has been better than Magic the basketball player. Johnson has opened the floodgates for business as well was being a minority owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Sparks. Johnson has also been a great advocate for the HIV community. Johnson’s impact on society has been a great one, and we at The Front Office News would like to wish Magic a happy birthday!
