Chauncey Billups recently announced that he would be ending his 17 year career. Billups a.k.a Mr. Big Shot had a slow start to his career, but he found his niche with the Detroit Pistons in the early 2000’s.
The former lottery pick from Colorado University played for 8 teams and for those teams he made the All-Star Game 5x, won a NBA Championship, and a NBA Finals MVP. Billups was one of the most underrated winners and leaders during his tenure in the NBA. On paper his career stats may not jump off of the board, but I feel that he did enough to be voted into the Hall of Fame at some point.
Happy trails to you Mr. Big Shot, and congrats on an illustrious career. Check out the video below to see why Billups was dubbed Mr. Big Shot during his playing days.
