As most of us remember the Super bowl ended in dramatic fashion about 3 weeks ago. The New England Patriots edged out the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 with the last play ending in an interception on the one yard line. Most including me feel that the Seahawks should have been crowned champion were it not for electing to throw the ball just one yard away and having the best running back in the league in your backfield.
Recently Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson released a video and script admitting how losing the game and in the fashion they did has done nothing but haunt him. Wilson has taken full blame for the loss in Arizona saying that he has tried to be positive but seeing all those disappointed fans and knowing how close they were at repeating as champions has affected him. He has said that being away for going on 3 weeks to clear his mind from football has done nothing but make him hungrier to get in the weight and film room to make it back to super bowl 50. While most blame Seattle’s coaching staff for making that last play call Wilson says a quarterbacks job is to display accountability and he says the blame falls on him. His entire focus is now on redeeming himself and being remembered for something other than that interception. Now he says it’s all about being not only good but the best to ever do it. I’m no huge Seahawks fan but their core fans should be happy and excited that nobody took that loss harder then Russ and the chip on his shoulder he came to the league with is now a boulder.
