For those that don’t know Chris Pearson is a junior middleweight boxer from Dayton, Ohio. He is from the 937 (Dayton area code) and when folks from the 937 do cool stuff we like to rally around them and help spread the word. I think its pretty dope that he is on the undercard of the megafight of the decade.
Per ESPN article via Dan Rafael:
“When I got the call, I ain’t gonna say I expected it, but I know I’ve been putting in the hard work and I know I am ready to go to the next level. I’m glad we’re on the same page,” Pearson told ESPN.com on Monday of Mayweather Promotions’ decision to put him on the undercard of boxing’s biggest fight in decades. “I’m ready to get in the ring and do what I do best.”
Pearson (11-0, 9 KOs) will face 27-year-old London-born Said El Harrak (12-2-2, 7 KOs) in a 10-round bout and is excited to be on the show even though the bout will not be part of the pay-per-view broadcast.
Good luck to Chris on May 2nd.
