NBA Commissionier Adam Silver is doing a great job in globalizing the NBA. The NBA held it’s first game in Africa this past weekend. With many NBA players from Africa, it was great marketing tool to cater to that market of NBA fans. It also helped that NBA greats, Hakeem Olajuwon and Dikembe Mutumbo suited up for a few minutes, and as expected the crowed adored them.
Team World, led by Chris Paul defeated Team Africa, led by Luol Deng in an entertaining matchup. This game obviously wasn’t about winning or losing, as the NBA players and coaches put on basketball clinics throughout the week and put on a show for the thousands of fans that were in attendance.
